As we are stuck inside the house, I decided to read a new book titled Relationship goals, by pastor Michael Todd. I watched his relationship goals youtube series, and I was blessed by it. It was such a great series to watch whether you are single, engaged, or married. I was even more excited when pastor Michael Todd wrote a book based on the youtube series. I wanted to write a quick review of the book and a few of my favorite quotes from it.
I want to start by saying it was hard for me to put the book down the more I kept reading it, which explains why I was still up at 3 a.m. And what I love about the book is the reference to scriptures throughout the text. “The Bible, in fact, is the greatest source for relationship wisdom, and it’s time we start applying it to relationships as they really exist” (Relationship Goals, p.24). At the beginning of the chapter, he spoke about how he met his beautiful wife and that they dated since they were at the age of 15! He also has a picture of his family in the book. I want to add that everyone’s love story is different. Not all of us will meet our soulmate at the age of 15. But if you let God lead you and you trust him to guide you, he will write your love story if you let him.
Pastor Michael Todd also mentioned something about a list -basically to rip up the list. I know most of us have a list of what we look for in a man or woman. For the ladies, we may want him to be tall, handsome, rich, and with a nice smile lol. “This shows that most of our list tends to be a little (or a lot) superficial and might reflect not what we actually need in a partner but more of just what we want at the time.” Attraction is important in a romantic relationship, but let us also look at other essential traits before choosing a partner. Pastor Mike also added the verse from Proverbs 14:12 “There is a path before each person that seems right but it ends in death”. God wants the best for us, even in a relationship. He wants us to win in relationships. Our relationships, even on this sinful earth, can still be like heaven on earth. “God instructs us, guides us, and teaches us how to aim at the right relationship”- Relationship Goals by pastor Michael Todd. I hope you are thinking about buying the book for yourself or even as a gift for someone else.
“If you let God lead you, he will help us find the right target for our relationship” -Michael Todd. I will not tell you too much about the book because I would love for you all to go out and buy the book. We should all aim to win in relationships. Let God lead us. Let us not look at what the world considers “relationship goals,” but let us go to God who knows the beginning and the end. He knows what is best for us. If you want to know more about relationship goals, please order the book, you will not regret it. I placed the link below if you are interested in purchasing the book. Enjoy! And feel free to leave a comment below if you are reading it too

This pandemic situation has impacted all of us. The world is on hold, and most of us are stuck at home. But instead of wasting time on Netflix or scrolling through social media, it may be an excellent time to make use of our time. Here are a few ways we can come out of quarantine a better person.
Spend time with God. Spending time with God is the best and most important thing you can do. Whether you need wisdom or strength for the day, spending time in prayer is where you can ask God for anything. Even if it is as simple as asking God to help you through each day. Matthew 7:7.
Learn how to cook/bake. You can change your recipes around, cook, and bake something that you have never tried before. Or, if you do not know how to cook, this is the time to learn.
Read a book. If you have a weak area in your life, whether it is learning how to save money, investing money, natural medicine remedies, or whatever you need to strengthen in your life, there is a book out there to learn about it.
For those who have businesses, this is a great time to get new clients and grow your business
Spring cleaning. Take time and organize your home, change things around or throw things out that you do not need or use to make room for new things.
Take care of your mind and body. The health of the brain is dependent upon the health of the body. Once things start to open back up, we will be back to hustling and back to our busy schedules.
Don’t forget to work out!! It is not too late to work on your summer body. And working out is good for the mind and body.
There are so many more ideas! If you guys have any other ideas for ways to be better after this quarantine, please feel free to comment below. Love you all :).

When I need advice, directions, life lessons, or just a quiet evening with a book, one of my favorite books to read is the Bible. The Bible is real; all the stories are real, the people are real. I use the Bible as a life manual for guidance, healthy living and lifestyle, character building, and one of the ways for God to speak to me.
I want to focus today on listing some of my favorite proverbs from the bible.
“Trust in the Lord with all of your heart, and lean not on your own understanding”. Proverbs 3:6.
“Do not be wise in your own eyes: Fear the Lord and Depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, and strength to your bones”. Proverbs 3:7-8
“My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, Nor detest His Correction: for whom the Lord Loves he corrects, Just as a father the son in whom he delights”. Proverbs 3:11-12
“Go to the ant, You sluggard! consider her ways and be wise, which having no captain, overseer or ruler, provides supplies in the summer, And gathers her food in the harvest. How long will you slumber, O sluggard? when will you rise from your sleep? a little sleep, a little slumber, A little folding of the hands to sleep- so shall poverty come on a you like prowler, and you need like an armed man”. Proverbs 5:6-11
5. “The fear of the Lord is to hate evil, Pride and arrogance and the evil way, and the perverce mouth I hate”. Proverbs 7:13
6. “Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors, there is safety.” Proverbs 11:14
7. “When pride comes, then comes shame; but with the humble is wisdom.” Proverbs 11:2
8. “Whoever loves instructions loves knowledge. But he who hates correction is stupid”. Proverbs 12:1
9. “A wrathful man stirs up strife. but he who is slow to anger allays contention”. Proverbs 15:19.
10. “Whoever guards his mouth and tongue keeps his soul from trouble”. Proverbs 21:23
Every day we should aim higher. Every day we should strive to be better than the day before, not just in our careers but for our character-forming. The hardest battle for me is the battle against self. And to beat bad habits and character flaws, we need to fight daily, in prayer and reading His word, the Bible.
Feel free to comment on your favorite words of wisdom below!
I wanted to start off today with something simple. And the first thing that came to mind is why don’t I make a list of some of my favorite gospel songs!
