I wanted to share a few of my favorite date night perfumes. Below is a list of my five favorite date night perfumes and their notes.
Dior, Hypnotic poisoning: This is such a beautiful winter scent. It has this warm vanilla and almond smell to it. It is very feminine and sexy. The top notes in this are plum, apricot; the middle notes are Brazilian Rosewood, Jasmine, Tuberose, Rose and Lily-of-the-Valley, Caraway; base notes are Vanilla, Almond, Sandalwood, and Musk.
YSL, Libre: This is another one of my favorite date perfumes. It screams elegance and confidence. Libre is French, and it means ” Free.” It has a pleasant musk but yet fresh scent to it. Top notes are Lavender, Mandarin Orange, Black Currant, and Petitgrain; middle notes are Lavender, Orange Blossom, and Jasmine; base notes are Madagascar Vanilla, Ambergris, Cedar and Musk. And the lasting power is pretty good.
Giorgio Armani, Si: This perfume has a nice warm musk scent. It is also long lasting , for me it lasted a good 8 hours. The top notes to this are mandarin, blackcurrant liqueur, Sicillain bergamot; middle notes are Freesia, Egyptian jasmine, neroli, Rose de Mai; base notes are amber, woods, patchouli, vanilla, and Orcanox.
Dolce and Gabbana, The only one. This is another fresh, woody Vanilla perfume. It is suitable for date nights, but it is also a good daytime, all-year-round fragrance. The top notes are Violet, bergamot; middle notes are iris and coffee; base notes are vanilla and patchouli.
Michael Kors, Wonderlust. This fragrance is a great date perfume. This perfume can also be worn all year round and for any event. The top notes to this are almond milk accord; heart notes are heliotrope, and the base notes are benzoin
It’s good to make plans; it’s good to write down goals, but let us remember that where we are at this very moment in our lives is God’s will for us. We need to learn to be patient with ourselves and with God. Many are dissatisfied with their lifework. It may be that their surroundings are uncongenial; their time is occupied with commonplace work, when they think themselves capable of higher responsibilities; often their efforts seem to them to be unappreciated or fruitless; their future is uncertain. {HDL 11.1} Let us remember that while the work we have to do may not be our choice, it is to be accepted as God’s choice for us. {HDL 11.2} Whether pleasing or unpleasing, we are to do the duty that lies nearest. “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.” Ecclesiastes 9:10. {HDL 11.3}.
Our plans are not always God’s plans. He may see that it is best for us and for His cause to refuse our very best intentions, as He did in the case of David. But of one thing we may be assured, He will bless and use in the advancement of His cause those who sincerely devote themselves and all they have to His glory. If He sees it best not to grant their desires He will counterbalance the refusal by giving them tokens of His love and entrusting to them another service. {HDL 12.1} We are sometimes impatient and instead of going to God and spending time with Him to figure out why He has us where we are and what His plan is for us at this very moment, we instead complain. In His loving care and interest for us, often He who understands us better than we understand ourselves refuses to permit us selfishly to seek the gratification of our own ambition. He does not permit us to pass by the homely but sacred duties that lie next us. Often these duties afford the very training essential to prepare us for a higher work. Often our plans fail that God’s plans for us may succeed. {HDL 12.2}. The best way to be at peace is to pray and read God’s word, the Bible. When we are in a hurry, we tend to go for what God did not plan for us. In the future life, the mysteries that here have annoyed and disappointed us will be made plain. We shall see that our seemingly unanswered prayers and disappointed hopes have been among our greatest blessings {HDL 13.2}. Even if you are unhappy with where you are at the moment, it does not permit you not to work hard. We are to look upon every duty, however humble, as sacred because it is a part of God’s service. Our daily prayer should be, “Lord, help me to do my best. Teach me how to do better work. Give me energy and cheerfulness. Help me to bring into my service the loving ministry of the Saviour.”
Let those who feel that their work is not appreciated, and who crave a position of greater responsibility, consider that “promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the Judge: He putteth down one, and setteth up another.” Psalm 75:6, 7. Every man has his place in the eternal plan of heaven. Whether we fill that place depends upon our own faithfulness in co-operating with God. {HDL 15.2}We need to beware of self-pity. Never indulge the feeling that you are not esteemed as you should be, that your efforts are not appreciated, that your work is too difficult. Let the memory of what Christ has endured for us silence every murmuring thought. We are treated better than was our Lord. “Seekest thou great things for thyself? seek them not.” Jeremiah 45:5. The Lord has no place in His work for those who have a greater desire to win the crown than to bear the cross. He wants men who are more intent upon doing their duty than upon receiving their reward—men who are more solicitous for principle than for promotion. {HDL 16.1}If any are qualified for a higher position, the Lord will lay the burden, not alone on them, but on those who have tested them, who know their worth, and who can understandingly urge them forward. It is those who perform faithfully their appointed work day by day, who in God’s own time will hear His call, “Come up higher.” {HDL 17.1} Be patient with yourself; be patient with God. You will reach your goals, have better days, and have strength for those not-so-good days.
Coffee is not good for you. It contains poison and is stimulating to the body. Many people have made it a habit to go and buy coffee in the morning to help them “wake up” when, in reality, it doesn’t do that (guilty!). Coffee is a hurtful indulgence. It temporarily excites the mind to unwanted action, but the after effect is exhaustion, prostration, paralysis of the mental, moral, and physical powers. The mind becomes enervated, and unless through determined effort the habit is overcome, the activity of the brain is permanently lessened. All these nerve irritants are wearing away the life forces, and the restlessness caused by shattered nerves, the impatience, the mental feebleness, become a warring element, antagonizing to spiritual progress. The money expended for tea and coffee is worse than wasted. They do the user only harm, and that continually. Those who use tea, coffee, opium, and alcohol, may sometimes live to an old age, but this fact is no argument in favor of the use of these stimulants. What these persons might have accomplished, but failed to do because of their intemperate habits, Through the use of stimulants, the whole system suffers. The nerves are unbalanced, the liver is morbid in its action, the quality and circulation of the blood are affected, and the skin becomes inactive and sallow. The mind, too, is injured. The immediate influence of these stimulants is to excite the brain to undue activity, only to leave it weaker and less capable of exertion. The after effect is prostration, not only mental and physical, but moral. As a result we see nervous men and women, of unsound judgment and unbalanced mind. They often manifest a hasty, impatient, accusing spirit, viewing the faults of others as through a magnifying glass, and utterly unable to discern their own defects. {CD 422.3}
For those who drink coffee often, it may not be easy to get out of the habit, but it is also not impossible. Try replacing those stimulants with other drinks. Try and wake up earlier and make smoothies or you can make them the night before. You can throw in different fruits and vegetables that are good for energy boosts such as bananas, apple, papaya, and more. ACQUA DI GIOIA by Giorgio Armani: This perfume is one of the first that I have owned. It has a fresh and airy scent to it. This fragrance is excellent for the spring or summer time. Some of the keynotes in this are jasmine, warm woods, gardenia.
Hypnose by Lancôme: This fragrance is also a great spring and summer scent. It smells like florals mixed with warm vanilla once it settles into your skin. Its very light and can be worn to work, church and other places. Some of the keynotes in this are passionflower, vanilla, and vetiver. The bottle is beautiful yet simple.
Ginger Essence by Origins: This fragrance is different for me. It smells like fresh ginger. It is not long lasting, but it is an excellent everyday fragrance to have and I usually wear it to bed or run errands. I would not mind purchasing it again. It smells like spicy ginger, bergamot and lime, which are also some of the keynotes in it.
J’adore by Dior: I’m not sure how to explain this scent. It smells very “perfumy” when you first apply it, but you can smell the florals once it settles. I think this fragrance is good for brunch or a lovely date scent. Some of the keynotes in it are jasmine, tuberose, rose, and vanilla.
Women by Calvin Klein: I love this fragrance because it smells lovely and light. I don’t wear it often, but when I do, I remember why I like it. It’s a pleasant fresh floral scent without the florals being overpowering. Some of the keynotes in this are raspberry, lemon, black currant bud, and centifolia rose
Euphoria by Calvin Klein: At first, when you spray this perfume, it smells like cologne, as if this fragrance can be unisex. But, once it settles in, it has this warm vanilla, musk, and floral scent(for me lol). It is a lovely fragrance to wear on a night out. Some of the keynotes in this are pomegranate, orchid lotus blossom and, persimmon & more.
The definition of temptation from Dictionary.com is the desire to do something, especially something wrong or unwise. Temptation is from our desires and allowing our lustful nature to control us; we become tempted to fulfill those actions. We’ve all been tempted; even Jesus was tempted, and He left us examples on how to overcome temptation. In going into the wilderness, Christ was led by the Spirit of God. He did not invite temptation. He wanted to be alone, that he might contemplate His mission and work. {SJ 43.2} One of the temptations that overcame our first parents was the temptation to indulge appetite. By this long fast Christ was to show that appetite can be brought under control. {SJ 45.1} When Satan first appeared to Christ, he looked like an angel of light. He claimed to be a messenger from Heaven. So we may resist temptation, and overcome Satan. The Lord says to us, “Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you.” James 4:7, 8. {SJ 48.5}.Just as Jesus won the victory over temptation, we can follow his example and do the same. Those who fail to realize their constant dependence upon God will be overcome by temptation (Messages to young people (Chap 40.) The only way to gain victory over temptation is to depend on God. Our strength alone is not enough. Reading the bible and prayer is the sure way to win against temptation. Words cannot describe the peace and joy possessed by him who takes God at His word. Trials do not disturb him, slights do not vex him. Self is crucified. Day by day his duties may become more taxing, his temptations stronger, his trials more severe; but he does not falter; for he receives strength equal to his need. —The Youth’s Instructor, June 26, 1902. {MYP 98.2}.
When we wake up in the morning and have devotion, we can ask God to give us strength. We can also ask Him for wisdom and spirit of discernment to deal with the challenges and activities for that day. Take it day by day and don’t worry about tomorrow. Beware how you neglect secret prayer and a study of God’s word. These are your weapons against him who is striving to hinder your progress heavenward. The first neglect of prayer and Bible study makes easier the second neglect. The first resistance to the spirit’s pleading prepares the way for the second resistance. Thus, the heart is hardened, and the conscience seared. MYP96.2. On the other hand, every resistance of temptation makes resistance more easy. Every denial of self makes self-denial easier. Every victory gained prepares the way for a fresh victory. Each resistance of temptation, each self-denial, each triumph over sin, is a seed sown unto eternal life. Every unselfish action gives new strength to spirituality. No one can try to be like Christ without growing more noble and more true. {MYP 96.3} . Whatever you are tempted by, even if it seems like you can never stop, I do have good news for you that you can stop!
Have you ever fell into temptation, and you feel ashamed to pray, or embarrassed to even talk to God? Well, you are not alone! And when you feel that way, pray anyways and rest assure that God is listening, and He cares. When you make a failure, when you are betrayed into sin, do not feel that you cannot pray, that you are not worthy to come before the Lord. “My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.” With outstretched arms He waits to welcome the prodigal. Go to Him, and tell Him about your mistakes and failures. Ask Him to strengthen you for fresh endeavor. He will never disappoint you, never abuse your confidence. {MYP 97}. We’ve all been tempted, don’t be discouraged when you are and don’t feel like you are the only one. Ask for support, read the bible, and pray. If you pray once a day and are still fighting the same temptations, then pray twice a day, if you are still struggling, pray three times a day (message to self). Beware of desperate steps; the darkest day, wait but tomorrow, will have passed away.” “In quietness and in confidence shall be your strength.” Christ knows the strength of your temptations and the strength of your power to resist. His hand is always stretched out in pitying tenderness to every suffering child. To the tempted, discouraged one he says, Child for whom I suffered and died, cannot you trust Me? “As thy days, so shall thy strength be.” {MYP )

Have you ever watched a hawk in pursuit of a timid dove? Instinct has taught the dove that in order for the hawk to seize his prey, he must gain a loftier flight than his victim. So she rises higher and still higher in the blue dome of heaven, ever pursued by the hawk, which is seeking to obtain the advantage. But in vain. The dove is safe as long as she allows nothing to stop her I n her flight, or draw her earthward; but let her once falter, and take a lower flight, and her watchful enemy will swoop down upon his victim. Again and again have we watched this scene with almost breathless interest, all our sympathies with the little dove. How sad we should have felt to see it fall a victim to the cruel hawk! {MYP 103.2}
Faith will increase if, when brought in conflict with doubts and obstacles, it overcomes them. True sanctification is progressive. If you are growing in grace and the knowledge of Jesus Christ, you will improve every privilege and opportunity to gain more knowledge of the life and character of Christ. {MYP 121.2}

Adding perfume to an outfit can help boost your confidence and make you more inviting to others. It can also create memories and leaves a lasting impression.
This first perfume here is a popular one. It’s the Black Opium by Yves Saint Laurent, and it is a beautiful fall and winter scent. I have to admit I have used it all year long because I was so obsessed with black opium at some point.

The key ingredients are coffee beans, vanilla, and white flowers. This perfume gives me a warmth type of feeling, which is why I prefer wearing it during fall and winter.

My Burberry -BLack
My Burberry -Black perfume is another one of my favorite winter scents. This fragrance here is for grown folks. My Burberry-Black is the type of winter fragrance you can wear for a date night. I’m not sure if everyone would like this scent, but it gives me a warm feeling. The scent is long-lasting, and a little goes a long way. Even after I removed my clothes and hung it up in my closet, I still smelled it the next day.

Good Girl by Carolina Herrera
Good Girl Eau De Parfum by Carolina Herrera is another popular fragrance. This fragrance will always be in my perfume collection. When you spray this on, it has a warm smell, and it is perfect for the fall and winter season.

Bright Crystal is by far one of my favorite spring and summer fragrance. It has a very clean, fresh scent, and it will leave a lasting impression.

Flora Eau de parfum by Gucci
Flora Eau De Parfum by Gucci is also a great spring and summer scent. It is a fresh floral scent in a bottle. It’s feminine and fun. I’m not sure if this is a long-lasting fragrance because I have not worn it as much as the other fragrances I already mentioned, but when it comes to the smell, it is a good one. The notes in this are Rose, Pink Pepper, Mandarin, peony, and more.

Wonderlust by Michael Kors is also a lovely fresh, and feminine fragrance. I don’t think this fragrance is very long-lasting. It’s not overpowering, which makes it appropriate for work or church. Some of the notes are almond milk, sandalwood Sri Lanka and others.

Welcome back to my blog. Today, I wanted to list nine of my favorite Amazon buys, some you might have already seen in my previous posts. I think a few of us can relate to being slightly a bit obsessed with spending money on Amazon. Keep reading, and you will see some of my favorite amazon buys with the links listed.
1. Selfie ring light: For those who enjoy taking pictures, we can all agree that sometimes the lighting does not cooperate. Well, this selfie phone ring light can save the day.
2. Whether you go to the salon or not, it is beneficial to have excellent quality professional hair cutting scissors at home. I do not always want to go to the hair salon to get my hair trimmed. I usually like to do it myself. It is crucial to have excellent quality scissors made to cut hair, so you do not do more damage if your hair needs a trim. So I ordered this set on amazon
3. I have 4c type hair; there was a time when my hair kept getting knotted ( because I needed a trim). I’m just grateful to have found this product here when I tell you that this curly magic curl stimulator saved me from cutting most of my knotted ends out of frustration. And it also makes your curls look even more beautiful.
5. One of my favorite Youtuber posted about these soaps, and I ordered them for myself, these soaps are Organic. They are not harsh on the skin, and they smell good. They are all made with natural vegan & plant-based ingredients and sustainable palm oil.
6. Here are some of my favorite bathing suit cover-ups for those who are planning to be at the beach or poolside ( once it’s safe to do so). I ordered them, and they look exactly like the picture and great for the summer.
7. for those who own an apple watch, sometimes it’s nice to switch up the watch bands. If you are looking for something stylish and less bulky, this watch band is a good option.
8. I was looking for a cute photo album to keep some of my photos, and I found this photo album on Amazon. This photo album is lovely and good quality.
9. This home weight scale here is not a recent buy for me. I bought it four or five years ago. It works with batteries and I think it’s great to have. Unfortunately, this product is not available at the moment, so I placed a similar one below.

As we are stuck inside the house, I decided to read a new book titled Relationship goals, by pastor Michael Todd. I watched his relationship goals youtube series, and I was blessed by it. It was such a great series to watch whether you are single, engaged, or married. I was even more excited when pastor Michael Todd wrote a book based on the youtube series. I wanted to write a quick review of the book and a few of my favorite quotes from it.
I want to start by saying it was hard for me to put the book down the more I kept reading it, which explains why I was still up at 3 a.m. And what I love about the book is the reference to scriptures throughout the text. “The Bible, in fact, is the greatest source for relationship wisdom, and it’s time we start applying it to relationships as they really exist” (Relationship Goals, p.24). At the beginning of the chapter, he spoke about how he met his beautiful wife and that they dated since they were at the age of 15! He also has a picture of his family in the book. I want to add that everyone’s love story is different. Not all of us will meet our soulmate at the age of 15. But if you let God lead you and you trust him to guide you, he will write your love story if you let him.
Pastor Michael Todd also mentioned something about a list -basically to rip up the list. I know most of us have a list of what we look for in a man or woman. For the ladies, we may want him to be tall, handsome, rich, and with a nice smile lol. “This shows that most of our list tends to be a little (or a lot) superficial and might reflect not what we actually need in a partner but more of just what we want at the time.” Attraction is important in a romantic relationship, but let us also look at other essential traits before choosing a partner. Pastor Mike also added the verse from Proverbs 14:12 “There is a path before each person that seems right but it ends in death”. God wants the best for us, even in a relationship. He wants us to win in relationships. Our relationships, even on this sinful earth, can still be like heaven on earth. “God instructs us, guides us, and teaches us how to aim at the right relationship”- Relationship Goals by pastor Michael Todd. I hope you are thinking about buying the book for yourself or even as a gift for someone else.
“If you let God lead you, he will help us find the right target for our relationship” -Michael Todd. I will not tell you too much about the book because I would love for you all to go out and buy the book. We should all aim to win in relationships. Let God lead us. Let us not look at what the world considers “relationship goals,” but let us go to God who knows the beginning and the end. He knows what is best for us.
